Windows will warn you. Here’s why.

This build isn’t code-signed yet — our certificate is still going through Microsoft’s identity checks. Until then Windows SmartScreen shows a blue “Windows protected your PC” screen and lists the publisher as unknown. That warning is about the absence of a signature, not about anything found in the file.

Only continue if you got this link directly from us and trust it. If you’d rather wait for a signed build, that’s a completely reasonable choice — reply to the invite and we’ll let you know when one is ready.

If your machine has Smart App Controlswitched on, it will block the install outright with no way to continue. Please don’t turn that off — tell us instead and we’ll take you off this build.

macOS

Not yet. We’re waiting on an Apple Developer ID so the build can be notarised. Shipping before then would mean macOS refuses to open it, and the app couldn’t update itself afterwards — so it isn’t worth your time. You’ll get an email the moment it’s ready.

Getting started

  1. 1Download and run the installer.
  2. 2Open Umbra and paste the licence key from your invite email.
  3. 3Something wrong? Use Can’t activate? on the activation screen, or Contact support in the sidebar. Both reach us directly and attach the diagnostics we need.
